Create a composition that contains at least two or more contrasting sections (A and B). You may use one of the forms we have discussed in class, or not, but ensure that your contrasting sections are fully-realized, discrete musical sections – not simply a single contrasting phrase. Your composition should be 1–2 minutes in length, total.
Write in your own idiom. You may turn in audio, a notated score or chart, or both; however, if you turn in exclusively a notated part, be sure it contains all pertinent musical elements of your composition (i.e. if your written part is only lyrics and chords, you must also submit audio so the melody can be heard). Additionally, you must submit a document describing which musical elements you manipulated in order to create contrast.
Elements to submit & filetypes:
1) A description of the contrasts within your piece (pdf)
and
2) Audio of your piece (mp3, wav, or aiff)
and/or
3) Written score of your piece (pdf)
